Living with Epilepsy.

As some of you may or may not know, among the plethora of health issues I have, I also have had epilepsy as one of the main factors of my health problems. I have been talking to an epilepsy doctor based out of Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh, and they have started me on epilepsy medication. However, there is something very odd with my seizures.

Back when I was around 20 (2011), I started having seizures because of painful migraines. After I got pregnant with Asher (2015), my seizures randomly just stopped until a few months ago. At first, they started again with horribly painful migraines. They also were the same type of seizures I had in the past. My eyes roll back, my left-hand twitches, I shake slightly, and I am exhausted afterward.

Now, I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis. It's like endometriosis but in the muscle part of the uterine lining. I also have a hemmoragaic ovarian cyst on my right ovary. The cyst causes a lot of pain, and the adenomyosis causes me to feel like I'm cramping all of the time. It runs out that this type of pain is also causing me to have seizures.

In the end, I am going to stay inpatient at a facility for 3-7 days so that they can monitor my epilepsy to see what's going on. These could be functional seizures or epileptic seizures.

I am excited to stay somewhere to figure out what's going on with me finally.

I go in on 12/30 at 10:30 am!

Wish me Luck!
